Anne Nelson vets is an independently owned practice which is based in South Croydon with good transport routes into London and the South Coast. We are looking for an additional experienced veterinary surgeon to join our established team. This is a full or part time opportunity.

Because of this we have a stable team of 4 vets (2 certificate holders), 5 RVN’s, 1 SVN, 1 ACA and 6 receptionists.
As well as the above we have an excellent reputation within the local area, and we pride ourselves on the high standard of care we provide to our patients while building lasting relationships with our clients.
We are part of the Practice Standard Scheme and are also a training practice for Veterinary Nurses.
About You
You provide excellent clinical care, and you enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues. You will ideally be at least 3 years qualified and are confident with 15-minute appointments, routine consultations and operations. A willingness to keep on learning and developing is important and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues and students alike. The role requires excellent communication both written and verbal, the ability to prioritise and delegate when necessary.
About The Role
We have a rolling 4-week rota. Full time is a 4-day week, with no on call during the week. There is an inpatient rota which requires evening checks. Any patient that requires constant monitoring is transported to our OOH provider. Weekends are 1:4 with the following Monday and Tuesday off.
Bank holidays are inpatient care only. Admin time is also included in the rota so you can catch up with those phone calls etc. Start times during the week are mostly 8.45 am (occasional 10am start) and finish times are either 5pm/6pm or 7pm. The role consists of a mix of consulting and surgery and our vets enjoy clinical freedom.
Salary range would be £40,000 – £60,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience. Our CPD allowance is uncapped with up to 5 days for attendance. There is the opportunity to undertake post graduate qualifications.
We offer a very generous staff discount for your own pets. VDS membership is paid for.
Holiday is 25 days (pro rata) not including bank holidays.
We do our best to manage the diary well and have book on day appointments to prevent double booking.
